Patient Death

High
above
rich wetland
a lone kestrel .

Patient death beating,
fixed in measureless blue.

Elegant white swans swim through
rare grasses greeting migrating
geese sliding in with the setting sun.

Darkness falls, who will sing the requiem?

I love the imagery of those swans and migrating geese. The last line is stunning. I've not seen an etheree divided into stanzas before and I love writing them lots. Cool!
