Paths Lest Taken
Chambers unseen by the naked eye
Along the path least taken stands the guard
Sometimes you can pass through unobserved
Other times are blocked with harsh disregard.
It is not something to approach lightly
For footsteps can always be heard in the echo.
Follow the quiet thoughtless moment of space
And grace will protect you while you’re deep below.
Always be careful in this hidden place
One wrong move can send you tumbling through the chasm
When the eyes fall upon you in their icy regard
They can make you wither and fall into spasm.
Take heed in the warning I say here today
The strength in virtue will keep you out of harm's way
Knowing there is danger in dark places
On paths least taken it is good to stay away.
