Path's

I used to dream of a distant future,
A path in which once walked before
by those who carry our existence and rest in the struggle which once was.

I heard the stories of some boys ,
Distant but not so distant ,
Optimistic yet not cowardice,
Their sacrifice a priceless , priceless debt

I can recall my grandfather mentioning
The war and his late father's stories .
Lancaster tail gunner ,
He was 17 .
Today as I march on the parade square
In loose - fitting ATC wedgewoods .
I no longer dream of that distant future
But a path that I can forge.

I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
