Paths
I’m wandering today
There is no path to meet my feet
No place to go …
How much wander sounds like wonder
Where do I go from here?
Is it forward or backward,
Or to some place known?
Can I press on now,
Or is this wandering a path,
A trial before the finding?
How my heart aches for a path
That simple line with all in sight
That corridor of comfort so many seek
Where is that pondered path
So many strive for in life,
That worn way to guide us?
It’s nowhere –
But in the wandering
And mostly in the wondering...
