Path of Desire

In the distance
I watch the bridges burning
  standing in awe and wonder,
I pause in memory and sadness
  of all the pasts gone before us;
the road never taken
 and those trod in careless steppings
into and beyond the shadows;
 those wonderful experiences forgotten and lost
to the times we lived in ,
 while now, come the regrets
of those paths of desire
 never taken and forever
to remain unknown.
