Poetic Form: Other/Poi

Rat-a-tat and pit-a-pat! ‘Pon my word! Pit-a-pat and rat-a-tat! It’s a bird – A woodpecker knocking! Loudest I’ve heard! His noise shocking!. Thrashing the habitat. His visage mocking.

You, my friend.0we me nothing ever! I just know that somethings going on with you when you don’t answer. It’s perfectly OK. I thought we had better agreement that you don’t have to read my poetry and I don’t have to read yours. There’s something going on more important between us and that’s called friendship. You forever, make me smile with your sharp wit and pictures.. and I know you like the ones I sent you. Heh heh! Pangie xx

This is a great poem about a beautiful bird. Woodpeckers do good things for the environment. I like how the side reads PAT.

Hi Hilda. Woodpeckers are such fun creatures to watch. The form (created by Hilo Poet) requires the side criterion and adds interest. Thanks for stopping by! :)

So loud like a church bell. Hahaha. I would use gravel, I hate to be disturbed when I sleep. Lovely take on the contest. Cheers, Linda.

Thank you sweet Tonye. Yes, they can be loud! Hardly anything disturbs my sleep (maybe a good book LOL). :)

Nice one, Linda. I used to hear woodpeckers all the time in my old house. I like them, but it's hard to understand how they don't come down with a headache.

Interesting, I didn't know that, Joe, but it makes sense, given how hard they smack against trees, or in the case of the ones in my old neighborhood, telephone poles.

I enjoyed reading your fun "Pat" write. Want to hear something funny??? Just had someone knocking at my door & it sounded like a woodpecker. Glad it was a person & not the bird. "Good Luck'" Have A Blessed Day Writing Away..........
