Mistakes we have made cannot be erased Some leave us with a heavy price to be paid We all do and say things that we now regret But can’t undo those actions that we’d rather forget We cannot change what happened yesterday So must live for the moment and cherish each day We only get one chance at life … that’s a sure thing None of us can predict what the future will bring So we must use our time wisely all our days on this earth Try to live life to the full from the time of our birth Contest Past Present and Future Sponsored by Nayda Ivette Negron 22~11~16

A beautiful poem on a beautiful and simple truth that is so cussing word hard to actually pull off. We cannot and must not stop trying. This is your soft, talented and lyrical pen. I appreciate this gem and wish you the luck that you don't need. Again, beautiful ... CayCay

nicely done. The past helps create us as we grow and live. The present is where we continue to learn. and enjoy each moment and cherish love we share The future is never promised but hoped for in life. 'nicely penned

I hate the overused idiom YOLO but it's true, the past might haunt us, and the future is out of our control, living in the moment is best, albeit difficult. Sage directives Jan!

I never use that term Paloma so I agree living in the moment is best we have no control over what has happened or will happen in the future:-) hugs Jan xx

I say, have as much fun as you can and leave as little time as possible to regret it. Spending time wisely is where most of us fail. Very meaningful poem, Jan:)
