Kelly Deschler Poet Rhyme

Passionate

You are there when I am happy and afraid,
my passionate love for you will never fade,
through days of sunshine and the rain,
and during long, sleepless nights of pain.

You spend time with me in winter and in spring,
to you, wealth just does not mean a thing,
and my looks do not matter to you at all,
you are near me through summer and the fall.

How much I love you, you will never know,
you take me to any place that I want to go,
whether it is to the country or the ocean,
and you comfort my every little emotion.

I hold on to you whenever I need to cry,
as tears drop down on you from my eyes,
you know me and my secrets very well,
so, promise me that you will never tell.

You bring warmth to me when it is snowing,
and relief when threatening winds are blowing,
no stronger love can ever be found,
trust me, I know, I have looked around.

You know you are truly my best friend,
I know I can count on you in the end,
When I am with you, I always feel free,
you never try to change me, you just let me be.

It is you that only my eyes can see,
the perfect companion for a girl like me,
you listen to every thought that I think,
I am passionate about you, my paper and ink.

Just be mindful of rhythm, metre, and prosody. You have some wrinkles here and there, but they do not detract from the beauty of the piece.
