Passion Or Urge

From the age of sixteen
words came to me as dandelions
blown by the playful breeze;
how could a boy so athletic and lean,
give up on fun and splendid seasons...
while his companions were free of worries?

A voracious student showing eagerness
in religion, music, art and literature...
was it the mind of a genius to be?
Never I thought so, just following the flow...
whenever it led me either to land or sea;
and on rocks I stooped very low,
while the golden sun highlighted my hair
and imagination carried me on radiant clouds.

What drove me to those extremes? Passion or urge?
Both allowed the vision of that young dreamer to surge.
