Passion Heart, Blood

The tears she had cried, The passion in her heart, The blindness in me; I paid through my blood. Stupid mind was mine, Spirited soul she had: Holding on to the nothing I had become, I should have seen the strength of her love. Came home drenched in booze: My mind stank of blinkered wishes, She lived my wishes with me, Took her for what she was not; What I wasn't was me. Life was pricking me more, She took my pain for hers: Her focus on a brighter change, I was stuck in my stupid past, Took her for what she was not. Harsh words became my game, Scar her heart is all I did; She could not take it any more She gave me reason for change. I was all to blame, Thought I existed alone, There was nothing beyond me: With this scar on my face, Her tattoo is etched in my heart.
