Passion Flower

A million voices fade away
As I close my eyes & embrace the silence
In a silent haze of fists ablaze
Love spirals before it hits the ground

Shuffling through a montage of broken hearts & hollowed nights
Tip-toeing across a sun drenched field of lavender & sage
Trying not to engage in a war of words

Sifting the flour in hopes of finding a diamond amongst the cakes
Till finally I fall captive to the hands of spring
Searching for something only loyalty can bring.
