Passing Shadows
This isn't the end
But the unshakable gloom
Hangs overhead
Feelings detaching
With each deceased moment
The shredded fragments drift
Sauntering through the darkness
Of what once was
Sleep fails me
Regret blankets me
Wrapped in a profound state
Of contorted feelings
A numb beat
Encompassing every motion
Every passing thought
Engulfing even cloaked sparks
Of incidental bliss
I am all I have to give
At most a passing shadow
Trembling through the wind
Vanishing at a moments notice
Lost in a larger existence
With no light left to cast me
I all but fade
A normalcy surmised to prevail
Yet remaining unremarked
Upon departure
