Passing Fancies

one day she wishes to be queen
the next, starlet of the silver screen
her wishes take off and run the gamut
from fairy princess to sweet sixteen

               do we take her seriously
or dismiss these as ‘passing fancies’
               which, lasting ‘too long’
                  make us antsy

Meghan? It wasn’t so palatable to be a princess so she searches in other places…she can’t get no satisfaction, as the song goes…

Sounds like a teenage girl? I wouldn't know. I never had sisters and never had a daughter. It seems nice to have dreams, though. I feel like those go the way of the dodo too soon.
