Passed Away

Someone I have known has passed away today.
But should I forget, not be grateful for, and not acknowledge those that remain?
I can't help but wonder if we are watched from beyond,
they wouldn't want us to continue to share ,
the unique parts of ourselves, as long as we are able.
Honoring their memory by stealing moments from this hectic and fragile gift we call life, reaching out to each other, risking part of our emotional selves,
to comfort, and hold on tighter.
