Party
Alone in a crowded room
Encased in a bubble
They move around me
Like water, past a stone.
An overlap of traits
Each pleasant in isolation
Compounded and compressed
Into dark stillness
Practiced movements
A very convincing smile
An anecdote of sport
Try not to drink too much
The merry ritual
For everyone but me
