Parkies

Why do you stare .....
Stare at me?
Step a little closer
then you might just see.
Was it my shuffling?
That made you look fast
or was it my stumbling
when I walked past?
Whichever it was,
I truly don't care.
Walk a mile in my shoes,
I beg you, I dare.
I shake and stumble
with every move I make.
Hard to swallow ....
these pills I take.
For I have Parkinsons,
yes, it's true
but, as rude as you are,
I wouldn't wish it on you!

Oh, very clever! I didn't see that coming until it was already on me! Great to speak out about this terrible disease and the people who have to deal not only with the symptoms but the constant staring as well. Good for you Jenny! MC
