Parents

I thank God for my parents
There are the reason I am here
Everything I have become is because they held me dear
Their love for me could never be compared
As I was never made scared
How I knew they cared
As they always shared
Father is the head
Mother always said, you should learn to read
So you would not be mislead
Father always ensured we were educated and fed
Mother was the one who used her head.
