Parental Love

PARENTAL LOVE SHOULD BE A REFLECTION
OF JESUS’ LOVE FOR US
THEY SHOULD GET THEIR TEENAGERS READY
TO DRIVE CARS, RIDE TRAINS, AND TAKE THE BUS.

JESUS DIDN’T BEAT US FOR LITTLE THINGS
OR TO GET OUR ATTENTION
HE NEVER CURSED OR YELLED AT US
OR FORCED US INTO SUBMISSION

ALL CHILD ABUSERS SAY SAPRE THE ROD, SPOIL THE CHILD
BUT NOT ALL SPOILED CHILDREN ARE BRATS, SOME ARE SWEET, MEEK AND MILD.

JESUS DIED FOR ALL OF US AND WOULD KILL FOR US AS WELL
BUT MANY PARENTS CARE TOO MUCH ABOUT THEIR THINGS TO ALLOW THEIR KIDS TO
BRING THEM FOR SHOW AND TELL.

MANY KIDS ASK FOR CLOTHES, MONEY, TOYS, AND SPECIAL MEALS
BUT MANY KIDS CAN LEARN TO BE SELFLESSNESS IF THEY ARE TAUGHT GOOD WILL

CHILDREN NEED EMOTIONAL SHELTER IN ADDTION TO A ROOF OVER THEIR HEADS
IN ADDITION TO PHYSICAL NEEDS, KIDS LIKE BEING TUCKED IN BED
KIDS LIKE BEING TOLD THEIR SPECIAL AND THAT THEIR A GOOD BOY OR GOOD GIRL
THEY NEED TO KNOW THAT TO YOU THEY MEAN THE WORLD.

Very good write Shuntae. Good advice, if folks would just slow down and love their children, the way Jesus loved us. Sincerely, Moses

This poem is a guideline of how children should be treated, especially if the children are well behaved most of the time. While the Bible does say "spare the rod, spoil the child", today's parents don't always find it necessary to use corporal punishment at least most of the time. This describes what God really really expects form parents and caretakers.
