Parental Love
A question sprouts from a soft voice ,
With small lips, himself to rejoice:
"Which one of us, my dearest Dad,
You love best, please tell, don't be sad."
“Dear son, my heart, a garden vast,
Where multiple memories last,
Each bud that bloomed, each sunbeam bright,
Holds an equal love and delight.
Your brother's laughter, bold and free,
Is a river rushing to me.
Your sister's silent serene gaze,
A gentle dawn in morning haze.
And you, my dear questioning soul,
Your spirit bright, you make me whole,
Your quick embrace, your probing mind,
A treasure rare that I could find.
To pick a bloom, from this garden,
Would dim the rest, of a sudden,
Each one a star, in my own sky,
That shines uniquely, reaching high.
There is no "more," no lesser part,
Within my brimming golden heart,
Each tiny hand, each whispered plea,
Is etched forever, part of me.
Your earnest eyes, a hopeful plea,
Seeking a truth you long to see,
But truth is woven, strong and true,
In every single one of you.
Son let me tell you, with all might,
My love for you is pure and bright.
As bright as sun, as deep as sea,
And each of you is loved by me.
No unequal favours or share,
Just boundless love, beyond compare,
An equal tide, it ebbs and flows,
Where every single blossom grows.
Your query stirs a tender sigh,
But know my love will never die,
It simply grows, a mighty tree,
Embracing all, eternally."
