Parental Faith

Its hard for a parent
To bury their child
As some of you already know...
A pain so transparent
The look in their eyes
Cracks the tears as they fall and unfold...
From the one thing so deep
That we can't understand
But is promised to us everyday...
Which comes what we keep
Despite all our plans
As tomorrow becomes yesterday...
Still clinging to hope
We leave faith in the book
As our sorrow becomes our best friend...
So that we can cope
And we know where to look
When its time to see them again ...
