Parallel
They go forward in life
Along a parallel
He walks alone
Clutching his guitar
She walks in peace
Finally knowing her worth
Each one knowing
They mirrored the other
And each are embedded
On the other's journey
Every song and poem
Voiced their shared pain
No more shared glances
Belong in this world
Just echoes of shadowed fantasies
Linger for the next realm
