Paradox

Your words built worlds of blue and gray,
Brought the sunshine and the rain,
Pushed away the warmth of summer's day,
Healed the broken heart with pain.

Yours is the contradiction and the paradox,
The lifeless form for life – eternity,
The crossbeams and the cross,
Freedom never free- hands nailed to a tree.

Three nails to hold the hopelessness of Hope
And Innocence in sin for all humanity
Three nails we drove for each extremity
You and I and all humanity.
