Paradox

It doesn't take much, a glancing thought shot out of a moment, a sudden recall, that strange sense ‘I've been here before’, to send the mind scrambling to stitch a tear in time. Somewhere becomes familiar, a replay of what has been or is yet to come, bled through whatever it is that separates the now from then, a duplicate, a lived out sequence scripted before. I sometimes feel in between, cast in a state that is neither here nor there, where a misstep might send me spiraling helplessly into the far reaches of ‘there’, with no way back to ‘here’.

Well said, Paul! That sense of déjà vu can be unnerving like we're living in a mini episode of The Twilight Zone...it is a feeling of 'being in between.' You captured the vulnerability so well. Truly do love your poetic style and voice. Have a great evening, Sara

Dear Paul, You wonderfully delve into the depths of existential uncertainty with poetic finesse. I loved how your words evoke a haunting sense of déjà vu and the disorienting feeling of being caught between past and future. The imagery of stitching a tear in time and spiraling helplessly into the unknown creates a palpable sense of unease. Paul, it's a thought-provoking journey through the paradoxes of existence, leaving us pondering the nature of reality and perception. - Blessings, Daniel

Love the line 'send the mind scrambling to stitch a tear in time' Paul :) very compelling regarding grasping for understanding and/or choosing not to. Here and there are funny places - I'm not convinced all my here's are the same one anyway - sometimes I open my eyes to a bit more magic and it feels there's a greater explanation for that. Luckily deeming myself a poet I'm perfectly allowed to consider it as much as I like :) great poem, as always
