Paradise In a Garden
Chorus of birds
deafening the city traffic.
Babblers with fluttering wings
hop about in nonstop chatter.
Little sunbirds with jewel like wings
hunt their prey, who hang down
from silvery silk threaded webs.
Playful squirrels, still in their youth
race up and down
on the rough surfaces
of gnarled and aged trees and walls.
Little saplings of moss creep through
the cracks and walls.
And up on little sprigs,
meditates the lizard, inhaling the cool fresh air.
While bees buzz and hover
over fully opened blossoms
that dance in the wind.
The wind that carries a blossom's fragrance
the happiness of the birds
and the peace of the greenery.
Thus, come, breath the bliss of this Paradise
and may it purify you from within.
