Paradise?

Chuckling jokes about a wistful Paradise

I look behind them but cannot see this Eden

Alone in my cubicle but the voices are there

It is just a passing whim

Reality returns to taunt my fragile Nice dream

More and more,this question unravels

If there is such a Place, why are we not instantly there?

Confusing thoughts of a long lost land

Waiting to see it if only someone would take my hand

It does not require an imagination to consider

A softer and warmer place without Machines

I could do for good and never put these eyes upon:

The Internet
TV
Automobiles
Sex
War
Disease

Is it out there in this 2nd day of Below Normal September?

If it is under a masquarade

Let us take off her Disquise

Find at at last

A hope for the wise
