Papi

The ball has always been in your court
There has never been a substitute player
There's always been a possibility of a first overall draft pick
However you are our MVP with no championship ring
A tainted record with loses overshadowing wins
Leaves us true fans chanting for a strong finish
Despite a career of highs n lows
We've followed behind your journey
Spectators have always doubted but we hold true to seeing the potential in you
As the seconds run down
This last time we walk away before it ends
If you couldn't see us cheering on the side lines all along
Welcoming you home every time
you conditioned yourself
Then we will no longer wait for you to realize you have always been a winner in our eyes
Papi......
