Paper Heaven

You watched a curse in Sunday best Ration light while it reeked of death. Hazed your senses, struck and lied, Stole the color from your eyes. Grasped, and choked, and tripped perfection. Thought you lost your paper heaven. Balanced on life’s ridged spine, Love bit your handed valentine. Painted wounds on canvas shadow, Thrashed your voice through weaves of sorrow. Bared your witness to the cold, Kneeling for a light to hold. Did you see the mystery, Light up the ivory towers, And your heart behold the truth unfold? It was already ours.
