Paper Bird

PAPER BIRD

I made a paper bird
white like a dove
folded it so carefully
wanted it to fly
softly through the evening air
from my window to the apple tree
but it floated to the grass and settled
there was grace in the time it floated
and wonder as the night breeze lifted it
so gently to its downward destination
but I wanted it to fly
I made a paper bird.

Hi Patricia, You origami bird is your gift and I know you wrote a poem on it. Make another and make it go all the way to the apple tree. The breeze must come. Its so sad but so beautifully written. I hope youre ok. Love Jannie

Patricia, there are times when no matter what we do, the outcome is the same.
