Paper and Words

Something came from faraway
Words maybe, I wouldn’t know
If words… I never knew what to say
If only I knew enough to behold…

So far did my mind portray…
Distances learnt to perhaps know what holds
Often do ourselves we betray
When accept we do not… what unfolds

Like a whisper… not for my ears
Subtle yet nerving… nights with never days
Moments lived… learning what dears
Whether lived… if words be enough to say

Time is always my concern
A present from a past… a present for the future
Yet… however much learned
An ink-filled pen always faces an unwritten paper

Have something came from faraway?
Would I have known… of words maybe
If words… I have poetry to say
Enough for perhaps what moments cannot be
