Pandora's Box
Hold onto hope
When there is nothing left hold on
Hold onto those faint glimmers
The can't-quite-remembers
The oh-so-distant-futures
Hold on when it is all too much
When no reason seems enough
When you need someone else to pull you through
The dark days when deepening depressions
Push you down, push you under
Can't breath, can't see
The future is a distant dream
Built as an opportunity for others
Not for you, never for you;
You don't deserve it, you haven't earned it
You are not strong enough
You are not worthwhile.
Unless you hold on
Hold onto the last strands as the rope is unravelling
The real world flying past the window while
You are inside, alone
Hoping and wishing
That one day you will have the courage
To find the key
Unlock the door
And step outside.
