Wendy Rycroft Poet Acrostic

Pandemonium

Powers have controlled this world since time began,
Awake from your sleep! Reality is not what it seems,
Nothing that we have been taught is real!
Debunk the round earth theory! If NASA thinks we’re crazy,
Everything is flat as far as the eyes can see,
Moon visits were just a daydream, a fantasy,
Outerspace they never went, couldn’t get through the Van Allen Belt,
No satellite stations for our Tvs, just high towers for all to see,
Ice around Antartica! Governments secure with their guns,
Unbelievable poor footage from the desert! They landed!
Myths told! World hypnotized! Wars created! Billions increased!

And yet, in time, the inner eyes do seem to prove the more reliable, for they see not only the summits, valleys and straightaways, but love and its surrogates which science makes mockery of, while the world would have perished long ago without them.
