Pancakes
Pancakes
Pancakes should be round, brown and deliciously hot.
They should be light as a feather
If they are to hit the spot.
They are a gloriously grand gift to mankind.
Versatile, individual
very personal I find.
You can have them smallish thin, smaller or fatter,
wider and fatter or thinner,
by how you mix the batter.
The pan is just right. Good cooking oil, not a lot
Of course, how your pour and you flip
Foretells the best of the lot.
