Pale Lights
Oh God...
Our lamps dwindle and
the paths are dark, while
the sadness becomes
Sticky and heavy on our small wings!
We are thirsty for joy
And our sorrow bitter and
The cruelty of loneliness in our hearts
Grow and grow up!
Into our worn and weary life
Where many a dream has died
We're digging deep, deep
To know how to survive!
But the death, ah death
Roaming around...
When ever he wants!
