Notes About The Poem

Vincent van Gogh: Pair of Old shoes 1886. If he was not painting the life and labor of the peasants anymore, they were not forgotten and perhaps his famous series of boots and shoes helped call them to mind. This pair of two left boots has provoked much speculation into their meaning.

Shoes spotted and worn

Conjures up memories of dancing with a teenager with' two left feet', who must surely have needed then your two left boots. Emotional memories evoked on this brilliant Senyru dear Anne-Lise. Thanks for that...Maria xxx

Has that ever happened to you? It happened to me. I bought a beautiful pair of shoes in Europe and when I got home I found out they were both for the right foot. No way to exchange them. I won't let that happen again! I enjoyed your poem Anne-Lise. Have a great day! ; )

Yes, the format of the Senryu is the same as a Haiku, just the subject matter is different. Haiku is focused on nature and the elements thereof onto us, but Senryu focuses on the lives of people and pretty much anything else besides nature! Great Work A-L!!
