Paintings and Poems

A painting like a poem talks to us. They speak of life and ask us questions of this world. A painting mimics God's creations and a poem tells us of those creations. The colors in a painting are as powerful as the words in a poem. Yellow gives us joy, cheer, warmth and energy. White is the hope and goodness in God's light. A splash of red and orange call out our anger, passion and speak of danger next to the power, evil and death of black. Lay out blues and greens and feel the peace, tranquility, healing and growth. Pink will never let us forget love, passion and sensuality. Of course purple and gray speak of wisdom, dignity and royality. Take in a poem and a painting and you will walk away with new found emotions envoked by the power of the words and the power of the colors and composition. And if you look closely and let your senses take it in, like a poem, you will get lost in the world they create. The painting, the poem, the canvas, the paper are waiting for you.
