Painting

PAINTING

this painted figure
is walking a country road
it’s the artist’s touch
when a closer look reveals
no figure, just three quick paint strokes

I enjoy painting and have collected paintings for many many years. Some artists have the ability to create forms with a minimum of brush strokes – Monet, Degas. van Gogh, and so any more. Even with words (as in your case) the same thing is possible. Often less is more. Thanks for the stop and best to you in your writing endeavors. / M

Everyone can interpret a painting differently and see something that brings them joy... I enjoyed the imagery in your lovely poem, Daver. Nice work!

I love this, Daver and remember it from PFT! (I"m out of town at the in-laws and it's nice to find time here today)

Dear Dave, 'Three quick paint strokes' round off this tanka nicely. An abstract figure appears in my mind, nice one~Delice
