Painted Snake

Aaro stands still and sees a snake among green leaves. What she thinks, she becomes, her eyes wide as new moons. The painted snake moves without moving, its path already chosen. "I can make things real too," whispers Aaro to herself. Each day she plants a thought like a seed in dark soil. Each night she waters it with dreams that never sleep. The snake found its way through a forest of gold. Aaro finds her way by believing what can be. "See how the artist made this world appear from nothing? I can do that too," she says with growing power. Her hands now hold the brush of her own making. What she names, takes shape. What she loves, grows strong. The snake and leaves teach Aaro : we become what we imagine. Our thoughts create the path where once there was just paper. Today she draws her future with colours bold and bright. Tomorrow she will walk into the picture she has made.
