Painted Nails Upon My Skin

Painted Nails Upon My Skin.

It’s been a long and hard damned day,
Sometimes you just can’t win.
Then I think about tonight,
painted nails upon my skin.

The moonlight on my window shades
it’s peering through the crack.
At painted nails upon my skin
and scratch marks on my back.

Love is made I wouldn’t trade
it don’t get better than this.
As we make our way tonight
to that moment of loves bliss

Holding me, I’m holding you
we lay in loves sweet rest.
Painted nails upon my skin
drawing circles on my chest.

Tomorrow I will rise once more
and then do it all again.
Waiting for tomorrow night
and painted nails upon my skin.

"Painted nails upon my skin" is such a nice phrase, it reminds me of "silver wings upon my chest" - nice poem.
