Paint Brush and a Few Moments

A trip down memory lane. In front of a windowpane, my paint brushes search for a landscaped vista... a frame to capture for a lifetime or more

unskilled hand scribbles
scenery mixing with dreams
colours get new shades

Fragrance of some wild flowers got mixed with these aberrant colours - would be preserved for long. Even after a few decades the fragrance still exist. I can smell it closing my eyes, with a deep breath.

winter may snatch leaves
making stems bare - wait for spring
and blooming flowers

A few coloured stains still remain... like bruises on my skin - fading with time, leaving mementos of the stints. My blood stained hands are searching fugitive dreams. Now, I can smell gun powder only.

whistling gust searches
love among the falling leaves -
lost humanity

I kind of felt like this was a painting. I enjoyed the richness in your haiku colored by your prose. Congratulations on being on the winner's list with this fine piece!

Your imagination is better than my poetry, Connie. You have felt it correctly. I have written this piece on seeing the painting of my friend Eve Roper, a Souper too. Thanks & warm regards, Bobby

an intriguing, unusual piece here; evocative, says what it needs to in few lines and in an original way, and the haiku are striking - congrats on your win in my contest!

I meant it's a fine piece of writing! Not sure where the one came from. There's much each of us can learn from each other. Do drop by and visit when time permits.
