Word: Paint

Splatter it in frustration,
Without any inspiration.
Screaming out the emptiness,
As if bringing existence.

A mess, the only thing to say,
To fill my empty head, I pray.
“It’ll come,” but not soon enough,
Out of nothing, I laugh.

Scratching around and hoping,
For that is all I’m striving.
Scream out hate, all the displeasing things,
Hopefully happiness it what it brings.

But with closed eyes, I never saw,
Something that made me smile in awe.
Laughing, I’m not insane! A new will form,
And as I reach forward, the heart is warm.
