Painful Words

The words I hold back,
leaves painful bite marks
making my tongue bleed,
leaving my mouth full of blood.

With the pain being so unbearable,
I realize speaking my mind is less painful.

So I will no longer bite my tongue
I will say whatever's on my my mind
and let my words flow,
because I'm not here to be a people pleaser
and I'm defiantly not starting today.

A very bold and good one statement poem here, Mark! Yes, is great to be oneself and we cant please everybody all the time in everything, is true. Someone will always find fault in some or other and that's the way it is. So better be oneself and that solves the problem in my opinion, honesty pays in the end I always believe and it starts with ourselves. Nice poem! Love and Light! :) xxx D.
