Painful Music (Double Etheree)

sweet 
precious 
melodies
from her fingers
dancing across keys
of black, white ivory
oblivious to the crowd
and their continued applauding
long after the concert has ended
sadness, for her nightmares return again

music is the addiction of her choice
a sense of peace and tranquility
resonate from within each key
flowing emotions suppress
raging rivers inside
as her fingers glide
across the keys
playing life
a song
hers
