Pain In Happiness

There is no integrity to the happiness I’ve built. Like a tree whose roots spread with momentum. Only to tangle and then poison. To shrivel- or maybe snap. Happiness feels so lonely sometimes. Is happiness permanent? I find myself pursuing a disaster. To counteract this senseless joy.
