Pain

PAIN - "Pain is the outcome of sin" Buddha

Nature has taken hold,
Either pain or pleasure it will be.
They dominate our being,
It is up to you and me.

We rest in pleasure,
Tears flow in pain.
Like a shadow at mid-day,
One comes as the rain.

Poets tell the story,
Elegantly in prose.
Make us cry with your pain,
For only heaven knows.

Like pleasure makes you smile,
Light and darkness in your day.
We accommodate the pain,
It will not go away.

Physical hurt might be clear,
It is there for all to see.
But only you know the depth,
Of what the pain would be.

Emotional trials have a toll,
Fastened as to a throne.
The pain can be hidden,
But it is well known.

Life gives us two masters,
Pain and Pleasure are their names.
Each controls who we are,
things will never be the same.

Both are deepest in our nature,
Command our time and heart.
The emotions, who we are,
Until it is time to part.
