Pain

The pain shifts
ubiquitously
out through the ruffled edges
of the grey red skies
into the cardboard caricatures
of the standstill mind
a numbness transfixed
over the monotonous eyes
a black and white wallpaper
of dusty springboards
the digital sounding distant
chatter of the kids playing nothing
the screeching sounds of the rattled cars
the torment of the torrential liquids
still tense with subtle triumph of
stolen tears
languishes
resuscitates itself
so self empowered
so mean
doesn’t change its path
