Pain
I fought and they got me
I’m dying me friend
Doctors have warned me
Now I fear this is the end
It seems so easy
I do declare
But if you ever encounter one
Leave it alone, beware
There I was standing alone
On my own you see
Surronded by many
And just poor old me
My wife was in doors
She hid in the house
As she watched me fight
Like a terrified mouse
Her face express terror
It was all screwed up
She looked like one of those dogs
Oh yes, a shar pei pup
All I wanted, was to do the garden
May be plant some seeds
But then again, you know me
I had to tackle those weeds
Now I lay here hearing the sweet words of my wife
“this pain you are feeling is just, and you deserve"
"Now lay there and suffer
With the pain of a trapped nerve'"
Now I reflect on her expression
Through the pain, it took me a while
It wasn’t feeling my pain
She had a Cheshire cat smile.
