To turn a new page,
mind battles we wage
must rest,
whence love centre-stage
stops fears to outrage
soul’s nest.
We thus come of age,
as we disengage
thoughts stressed.
With desires addressed,
our soul has progressed,
to learn
heart cleansed and undressed,
embarks on soul’s quest
to churn
fears at love’s request,
that then by God blessed,
we burn.
Let’s turn life’s page stern,
choosing to discern
our rage,
which we then adjourn,
for it’s now love’s turn
to cage
desires and upturn
fear; for God we yearn,
oh sage.
