packed up
emotional baggage
shut the suitcase
of the past
tossed the case
into the river of
time
sunk deep
down underneath
the waters of
resentment
left behind
left for dead
all past encounters
be them good, bad,
or indifferent
all are viewed
through the same
blurred leans
