Pa Said
My Pa said to me:
“Football will get you nowhere
my boy”
and,
“playing the guitar will get you nowhere my boy”
and
“poetry will get you nowhere my boy.”
He was right, but I like it here in ‘nowhere,’
besides I’ve seen where somewhere is
and it’s not that special.
