P O T D

Forgive me if my humility
you do find offensive

But i would be a liar if i was
not to admit

That it doesn't fill my heart
and head with joy

When something positive complimentary comes my
way

And is written in my
comments box about a
poem i have wrote for
other's all to see

Because although though
i might to try to convince myself

That my writing is altruistic
and soley for the right reasons

Who would i be kidding and
lying to but myself

And prove once and for all
to me i am no better than

But rather the thing that
i most hate

And wished and wanted
everyone to guard against
just in case

A charlatan like me they
we're to stare directly into
the face of

Claiming innocence whilst
perpetuating a lie

We just have to believe in ourselves Christopher, none of us know what the playing field is on the soup, because there is none, we can read each other’s poems, giving us an insight into each others thoughts, but it’s not enough I’m afraid, some write for release like us, from there it’s anyone’s guess what’s actually going on, or what people get off on, such is life, cheers David
